About the Little Bulletin and the Author

When a grandmother’s mind meets and entwines with the minds of two little children, the result can be not only magical but a deeply satisfying and affirming experience for all.  When little children experience their connection with the Unseen, which they have very recently departed from, as real and valid, recognized by an adult, then they feel accepted and understood, and are set on the road to giving recognition to their imagination and to developing it.

In 2010 I moved from England to the US and began a new chapter as a grandmother. 'The Little Bulletin' shares the enchanting experiences I documented while spending time with my grandchildren.  It captures the unique charm and the amazing wisdom of little children everywhere that I was privileged to experience, first-hand, through Peter and Lucy – experiences I did not want to forget, and which could best be preserved by writing them down at the time. This book is a collection of those observations and reflections that depict the unique way all children see the world.

The wisdom, magic and beauty of little children are available to us all - albeit in different ways – to the parent, the teacher, the nurse, the nanny, the carer, the grandparent; to anyone with a keen, observant eye, to anyone who loves little children.

A gem of a book, that will appeal to all those who know that magic, miracles and spiritual mystery are present all around us, and that the clues are present in the innocence and purity of little children.  These qualities can be developed in children by an introduction to fairy tales. poetry, good music, Bible stories, and by promoting a connection with nature.   There are many charming and amusing incidents in this book, all of which are interwoven with the (English) author’s reflections, as an outsider, on life in the US.

‘Listen to the children;  they still remember.  A child under 5 years still remembers the world they have come from.  Their memory is erased by school, fears, etc.’
